Trust Officer

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Trust Officer to effectively manage a portfolio of complex structures, providing high-quality client service. The Trust Officer will work closely with clients and intermediaries, ensuring the delivery of solutions that meet client needs while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves providing advice, fostering long-term relationships, and managing risk in compliance with the relevant legal frameworks.

 

Job Duties:

  • Ensure clients receive the best possible service within the framework of established policies and procedures.
  • Contribute positively to the Wealth Structuring Team, promoting a collaborative approach to achieving client goals.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring consistent, high-quality service.
  • Advise clients on financial matters, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.
  • Maintain and update client records, ensuring compliance with VG's retention policies.
  • Respond promptly to internal communications regarding matters that affect the company's operations.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of projects and provide feedback, research, and data input as required.
  • Administer client entities by maintaining and fulfilling actions related to tax filings, client reviews, fee settlements, and other necessary actions.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory issues and ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering laws and internal policies.
  • Support the senior management team in risk management by identifying potential risks and ensuring transparency in all matters.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage complex client portfolios.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues.
  • Experience in managing risk and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Professional qualifications such as ICSA, ACA, ACIB, STEP, or a legal qualification are desirable.
  • Extensive experience with institutional clients and a solid understanding of trust and company regulations.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to interpret client needs and design appropriate structures to meet them.
