Trust Manager

Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Trust professional for an exciting opportunity managing HNW client portfolio providing trust and company administration services; building and maintaining strong client relationships; overseeing estate and tax planning, investment management, and compliance; preparing and reviewing periodic valuations, financial reports and tax returns; assisting with training and appraisals; reviewing accounts files prepared by administrative team; ensuring compliance with tax planning advice and investment guidelines; liaising with external auditors, investment and tax advisors; managing client WIP, billing and cash collection; dealing with client queries; reviewing and signing off subscription and redemption requests; assisting with preparing quarterly investment performance analysis; approving payments using online banking systems; analysing lack of chargeable hours targets met; achieve chargeability, WIP, recoverability and debtor targets; assisting with KYC and CDD requests; preparing board packs, attending and minuting meetings and taking action; applying internal risk management procedures.
Requirements are professional qualification in ICSA/ACCA/ICAEW/equivalent; 7 years+ experience working in Trust & Company environment at Assistant Manager/Manager level in private client sector; advanced accounting/ administration skills; good understanding of general UK tax principles; able to inspire respect when leading a team; high level of tact, diplomacy and confidentiality; proactive with very close attention to detail; exceptional, administrative, analytical, communication at all levels, time management and organisational skills;  working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Access; able to use all standard business software; flexible, with the ability to work to time pressures; ability to prioritise; team player.
