Our independently owned client has a vacancy for a Trust Manager (Accountant) to be based in their St Helier office.
The Trust Manager will be an integral part of the team responsible for ensuring excellent client service, in line with ongoing requirements & the standards required. You will also help junior team members to understand the firm's ethos. You will oversee a small administration team & will support & provide assistance in relation to client matters, training & appraisals.
The key responsibilities will include managing a portfolio of Trust & Companies for International HNWI & maintaining solid relationships with client & intermediaries to ensure that they receive the highest standard of service at all times, review accounts files prepared by administration team. Liaise with tax advisors, investment advisors, external auditors as required. Act as a 'B' signatory & approving payments. Timesheets, managing client WIP, billing & cash collection. Reviewing board packs to ensure accurate. Attendance at board & committee meetings as required. Review & amend minutes.
The candidate will hold a professional qualification such as ACCA or ACA or equivalent. Experience within a Trust & Company environment preferred. Solid advanced accounting & administration skills. Knowledge of UK tax principles desired. Strong organisational skills. Proactive with very close attention to detail. Ability to use MS Office. Flexibility with the ability to work to deadlines. Ability to manage & prioritise own workload. Attitude that inspires respect & to be capable of taking the lead as required. People Management skills desired.
