Trust Accountant
Job Description
This exciting role is crucial to to preparing financial statements and delivering high quality financial reporting; file preparation to accompany annual accounts; conducting in-depth reviews of investment and nominal ledger data to identify and highlight any anomalies or inconsistencies; prepare and process year-end journal entries; manage year-end close-down process within Jobstream contributing to projects; conducting monthly income audits; preparing tax statements for UK and Canada tax filings and preparation and reconciliation of tax journals; contribute to preparation of quarterly cash flow and management accounts for select group of clients; provide support to clients with complex accounting queries; write bookkeeping templates and review and sign off on new client setups in Jobstream.
The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in UK GAAP Accounts Preparation and ideally knowledge of Jersey Trust accounting and admin, corporate and personal taxation; excellent communication and organizational skills; eye for detail and strong analytical ability; self-starter, proactive and comfortable managing multiple tasks; strong numeracy and proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping essential; advanced MS Excel, Word and Outlook necessary; Jobstream experience an advantage.
