Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join their team in Jersey as a temporary Customer Service Representative until the end of December. In this full-time role, you will work collaboratively to deliver an excellent customer experience by providing high-quality service to both external and internal customers. Job Duties:

  • Welcome, assist, and direct visitors in a courteous and professional manner while adhering to security policies.
  • Troubleshoot common product or service issues at the first point of contact, escalating queries when necessary.
  • Provide accurate information about products and services via post, email, or telephone.
  • Attract potential customers by suggesting information about additional products.
  • Process customer payments by cash, credit card, or cheque and ensure transactions are accurately accounted for.
  • Reconcile and balance payment systems daily, reporting any anomalies or errors to the Finance Department.
  • Perform basic insurance administrative tasks and other ad hoc activities as required by the business.
  • Continuously develop your knowledge to deliver a high-quality, compliant service.
  • Suggest improvements to customer service processes and systems.
  • Maintain effective communication with colleagues and customers to enhance business performance.
  • Deliver short-term projects or activities as required by the Senior Customer Service Representative.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in a busy, customer-focused service role.
  • Strong customer care and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prevent and manage conflict for smooth customer experiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of Office software, including email.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to learn about the insurance market and the client's products and services.
