Temporary Billing & Invoicing Accountant (until June 2025)

Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Billing and Invoicing Accountant to join their team on a fixed-term contract until June 2025. The role involves managing the billing process, overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing accurate reporting. Job Duties:

  • Ensure the accuracy of customer billing setups.
  • Prepare and manage monthly invoicing reports for review and approval.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to finalise items for billing.
  • Generate and issue client invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review and verify billing data following company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all billing and financial regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and organised billing records and documentation.
  • Support statutory audits and tax filings.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate financial transactions.
  • Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Manage the bank reconciliation process.
  • Maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial laws.
  • Provide financial analysis to support strategic business decisions.
  • Collaborate with finance and business teams to achieve overall objectives.


Job Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA); ACA qualification is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting, finance, or billing roles.
  • Proficient in SAP S4H or similar billing and accounting systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Flexible and adaptable to organisational change.
