Job Description

Postholder will assist with management of Trust department (which may also include the management of a small team) and daily administration of trusts and companies, delivering first class service to existing and prospective high net worth clients and assisting with business growth in line with strategy.  He/she will ensure statutory obligations are met by having a thorough knowledge and understanding of all relevant laws; ensure internal policies and procedures are followed and provide technical assistance to junior members of staff; staying updated with legislative changes; assist with achieving business objectives, contributing to business strategies, setting team standards and providing technical training; monitor client transactions in accordance with AML and report suspicions; ensure poor performance and/or conduct are dealt with suitably; ensure correct returns filing; maintain accurate client entity database records;assist HR with probation review meetings, appraisals and Return to Work interviews.
Requirements are a qualified Trust & Company Practitioner with 5-8 years relevant experience and knowledge of offshore trust industry and Trust and Company administration; sound understanding of all relevant laws; excellent organisation, communication (both orally and written) and time management skills with all round good inter-personal communication and relationship skills; ability to assist with the management and development of a small team; full professional qualifications and/or membership of appropriate recognised industry qualification to meet JFSC requirements as a Principal Person (Category C of Schedule 4), that is to say a Table 5 Professional Qualification with a willingness to continue to study for a Table 4 Professional Qualification; competent with MS Word and Excel; knowledge of Unity/similar database advantageous; working Knowledge of Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998 and Handbook for the Prevention & Detection of Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.  Travel to UK and overseas may be required.
