Job Description

Great role administering client portfolio under supervision, completing bookkeeping and income reconciliations; preparation of annual financial accounts; liaising with Technical Department on accounting queries and adjustments; completion of client annual reviews; liaising with overseas accountants and auditors for completion and submission of accounts; preparation of monthly/quarterly reporting; calculating RPI increases for payments to beneficiaries; making payments; dealing with queries and projects; applying internal risk management procedures; dealing with external compliance requests; assisting with billing and cash collection; reviewing UK and Jersey tax returns and adjusting year-end financial accounts for tax provisions; preparation reporting packs for FATCA and CRS Reporting purposes; calculating amounts reportable under reporting regimes; preparation of internal tax forms, to include calculations, for Economic Substance Reporting; organisation of trustee/board meetings, including preparing meeting request forms and board packs; reviewing draft minutes; achieve chargeability, WIP, recoverability and debtor targets.
This role involves significant book-keeping and accounting work so candidate must have at least 3-5 years practical experience in completion of book-keeping and accounts in a private client trust and company accounting environment; part ACCA/ACA/ICSA qualified/currently studying/qualified by experience; proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting standards (FRS102 and IFRS); strong analytical skills and accuracy are essential; organised and proactive, with very close attention to detail; able to manage own workload and prioritise; ability to communicate at all levels;working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Access; flexible, with the ability to work to time pressures; team player.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
