Our client is looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to develop the organisation's procurement strategy for goods and services not for resale ('GNFR').
This role oversees sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and procurement governance across all categories of GNFR spend. It includes optimising the supplier portfolio, engaging strategically with key suppliers, and collaborating with other buying groups where appropriate. You will lead the development and implementation of a procurement strategy that enhances efficiency, transparency, and resilience, while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The role also involves building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, managing risks and disputes, and promoting responsible and sustainable procurement practices, including ethical labour standards and environmental considerations, in line with the Society's objectives. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' industry experience and a degree (preferably CQFW Level 6, or minimum Level 5) in supply chain management, procurement, business, finance, or law. Strong negotiation skills, combined with a positive and pragmatic approach to delivering results, are essential.
