A global leading provider of Fiduciary products and services are seeking a Senior Legal counsellor to join their expanding team. Reporting to the Group Head of Legal, key responsibilities will require expertise with a variety of legal matters concerning financial services regulation, alternative investment funds, data protection and commercial contracts.
Your responsibilities amongst other things will be counselling the business operations in each jurisdiction of the Group, by giving pro-active, competent, effective and creative legal support. You will work closely with the Group Head of Legal and oversee the work of the other members of the Legal team, whilst collaborating with internal colleagues such as Compliance and Risk. Represent the company in negotiations with third parties. Monitor and evaluate the impact of evolving legislative, regulatory and industry strategies for the alternative investment funds industry. You will create and maintain awareness of business employees for compliance with relative laws and regulations whilst streamlining existing documentation. You will represent the Legal team in group wide projects and initiatives.
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Law with strong academic credentials and be admitted as a Solicitor with a minimum of 10 years PQE. Masters of Laws (LLM) is desirable. Strong legal experience in corporate, regulation and alternative investment funds. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Experience as in-house counsel in a financial services business and legal counsel in a top-tier law firm with international clients is desirable. Negotiation and drafting skills with the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of various teams.
