Senior Finance Operations Administrator

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day finance operations of the firm, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, leading and developing a team - performance reviews, objectives, continuous improvements - and acting as key contact between departments, billing, credit control, cashiering, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, client payments, staff expenses, month end finance operations processes including bank reconciliation reviews, client accounting processes, ensuring funds handled correctly, monitor cash flow and ensure sufficient liquidity to meet obligations, maintenance of bank mandates, online platforms and opening of new accounts, assisting in financial investigations and audits.
The ideal candidate will be ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualified with experience in senior finance operations role, preferably in law firm/professional services; excellent communication, organisation, analytical, leadership and problem solving skills; experience in process improvement initiatives and implementing financial controls; in-depth knowledge of local law society accounts rules, client accounting, probate administration and regulatory compliance; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines; high attention to detail; experience with financial systems and legal practice management software (preferably Aderant); strong IT skills in MS Excel.
