Job Duties:
Lead and manage complex litigation cases involving regulatory issues, trusts, and general commercial disputes.
- Handle a variety of commercial disputes, including breach of contract, shareholder disputes, and partnership conflicts.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to commercial litigation matters.
- Provide strategic legal advice to clients, aiming for the best possible outcomes in high-stakes cases.
- Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation, demonstrating exceptional advocacy skills.
- Collaborate with other professionals to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
- Advise clients on regulatory compliance and navigate complex regulatory frameworks across various industries.
- Manage and resolve disputes involving trusts, including contentious probate and fiduciary issues.
- Advise clients on the impact of changes in regulatory bodies' rules, procedures, and processes.
- Design and deliver internal training programmes focusing on legal skills, professional development, and leadership within the firm.
- Design and deliver external training programmes for clients.
- Utilise psychometric tools (MBTI, DISC, Hogan, Belbin) to enhance team dynamics, leadership development, and client engagement strategies.
- Mentor and coach junior lawyers and staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Contribute to the growth of the firm's litigation, regulatory, and trusts practice by developing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
- Participate in industry events, seminars, and networking activities to enhance the firm's reputation and client base.
Job Requirements:
Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with at least 6 years of post- qualification experience (PQE) in litigation, regulatory law, trusts, and commercial disputes.
- Proven track record of handling complex litigation cases with minimal supervision.
- Accredited qualifications in psychometric assessments, including MBTI, DISC, Hogan, and Belbin.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering learning and development programmes within a professional services environment.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Strong client management skills and the ability to build lasting relationships.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and pressured environment.
- A team player who can work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm.
