Job Description

The Innovation Hub team is responsible for the development and implementation of evidence and data-led legislation, policies, procedures, and guidance which are relevant to FinTech, RegTech and SupTech cases in Jersey.
Your competencies for this role will help you deliver the following outcomes:

Furthering the adoption of technology within financial services in a safe and compliant way;
Development or enhancement of the regulatory framework which supports the use of technology within financial services.
Championing the digitalisation of regulatory content which will have the ability to integrate with business’ systems and controls in the future. Supporting the development of fully digital regulatory submissions.
Improved engagement between the company and the financial services industry on regulatory expectations.
Supporting industry with the early identification of new and emerging risks allowing flexible, efficient, and effective RegTech adoption.
Increasing capabilities for the company, government and industry through skills development and collaboration.

The skill set of the Innovation Hub allows for timely interpretation of the regulatory regime, critical thinking of when and how the regime needs to change and provides subject matter expertise on a variety of innovative financial services products and business models. This role allows you to be directly involved in developing and setting the direction of travel for innovation within Jersey’s financial services industry (across FinTech, RegTech and/or Suptech). You will build professional relationships across different sectors through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
This role would suit candidates with a background in financial services, and good understanding and practical experience of regulatory processes as well as experience or knowledge of innovation or technology. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal is essential, with the ability to build strong relationships.
