Job Description

The role will include overseeing allocated portfolio of clients and preparing annual financial statements, management accounts and financial reporting; post through PMG/Xero and Excel final bookkeeping entries to produce financial reporting and perform year end ledger close-down procedures; liaise with Auditors to complete audit of financial statements; ensuring compliance with FRS102, IFRS, rules, regulations, and systems of internal control; preparing asset, liability and capital account; keeping and maintaining books in perfect order; reconciling and verifying transactions; reviewing key documents; analysing correctly current and non-current assets and liabilities, preparing a profit and loss statement and indicating corrective actions; ensuring tax forms populated and passed to tax department; ensuring security of financial information and taking regular backups; achieving chargeability, WIP, recoverability and debtor targets within deadlines set; applying internal risk management procedures including adherence to AML regulations; producing and provide high quality documents including financial statements and working papers file/
Post holder will hold ACCA/ACA/be qualified by experience; able to multi-task and react to change; Finance industry and/or Accounting/Auditing experience in/exposure to private clients and family office environment essential; significant experience of preparing trust accounts, especially for real estate and financial instruments holding structures and accounting at asset holding level; comprehensive knowledge of current IFRS/UK GAAP (FRS 102) reporting; experience in accounting for range of private clients and family office structures; experience with Access, CaseWare and Value Financials desirable; strong IT, admin, organisational and analytical skills; accuracy; experience with private clients, real estate and corporate action events preferred; proactive with very close attention to detail; able to work to deadlines; able to communicate at all levels; knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Access; flexible; team player; ability to manage own workload and prioritise.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
