Job Description

Great role delivering financial reporting requirements for a high profile, complex private equity client, which may include a range of fund structures, preparing financial statements to UK GAAP, US GAAP or IFRS standards and preparing NAVs; compiling working papers; liaising with auditors; ensuring financial statements signed off within deadlines; attend client meetings in respect of accounting matters; review annual and periodic accounts prepared by team; prepare drawdown, equalisation and distribution files; analyse and interpret transaction documentation; oversight of more junior accountants and trainees; ensure team adherence to internal company procedures; development/enhancement of team specific procedures; assist with creation and maintenance of client specific accounting procedures; liaise with external contacts; assist with projects; conduct appraisals; coach team.
An accounting qualification (ACCA or ACA) is required, as well as at least 2 years PQE and experience producing financial statements for a variety of fund types within various jurisdictions to UK GAAP, US GAAP or IFRS; experience of developing and coaching others on a one to one basis; understanding of current industry legislation; working knowledge of MS Office and FIS Investran and desirably Caseware/Value Financials; able to work to deadlines; able to delegate and coach; team player; flexibility; motivated; strong commitment to client service excellence; proactive.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
