Our client seeks a self motivated individual who can work on own initiative providing 2nd line support as part of a 24/7 support rota team that covers many calls and resolves/escalates queries from varied customer base ranging from small home office solutions to large multi-national organisations and provides Tier 2 firewall support on major vendors to include Forcepoint/Sophos/Checkpoint; be involved in firewall managed service on-boarding; working with other departments and entities around the globe for resolution of client problems; undertakes project work for installation of new equipment/solutions for customers; undertake training for various vendors/equipment.
Candidate must have 0-5 years experience with desire to learn more in Network and Communication and gain qualification, with specialisation in security; sound communication, analytical and problem solving skills; committed to excellent client service; able to troubleshoot internet connectivity and understand domain relationship, NAT/PAT and relation to inbound/outbound internet connectivity; basic wireless troubleshooting, firewalling, dynamic protocols, default routing, Link aggregation and VLANs; good team player; able to operative effectively with computer hardware and software; organised; attention to detail.
Candidate will be required to do out of hours work – before 9am and after 5.30pm and at weekends from time to time. Five years continuous residence in Jersey required. Based remotely and in office.
