Professional Support Lawyer

Job Description

Exciting role producing and managing appropriate precedents across business, together with leading on relevant mandatory professional development activity and ensuring fee earners knowledge of knowledge management systems and processes up to date.  Postholder will work with marketing and business development; coordinate preparation of internal and external practice notes and briefings including research and drafting; review and standardise transaction processes with Partners/fee earners, including process mapping of core service line business; stay current with relevant legal, regulatory, and case law changes, updating client briefings/documents; maintain effective system for collecting know-how, managing precedent pipelines, and capturing knowledge management content from client transactions; regularly review intranet content for relevant jurisdiction/service lines; maintain precedent bank with drafting notes, policies, and guidance; prepare and deliver training on knowledge management documents and practices; specify topics and coordinate internal training sessions and speakers on legal and regulatory matters; set up and run discussion forums and seminars.
The successful candidate must be an English Solicitor/English Barrister or have equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction with 3 years’ PQE, as well as experience in a private practice; good communication skills at all levels to train staff and extract information from them, as well as having excellent technical detail drafting skills; some experience or knowledge of the delivery of knowledge management systems preferred, with an enthusiasm for developing knowledge systems; must be responsive to needs of fee-earners where knowledge access is concerned.
