This role involves providing end-to-end People and Culture (P&C) business partner support across a designated portfolio, applying specific knowledge and judgement to address complex challenges. The successful individual will have a strong generalist HR background with approximately 5-7 years of comprehensive HR experience. This position supports the P&C agenda across diverse jurisdictions, including Jersey, the Isle of Man, and Mauritius. The individual will work closely with business stakeholders to ensure that P&C guidance aligns with business objectives and evolves with an ever-changing environment. This position requires operational effectiveness and strategic insight and will involve leading the wider people portfolio across these jurisdictions while partnering with senior stakeholders. Individuals must be comfortable navigating multiple regulatory requirements and cultural nuances.
Job Duties:
- Achieve compliance with relevant information governance processes, ensuring individuals' rights to privacy are maintained.
- Act as custodian of P&C business systems, promoting their effective use and addressing any issues that arise.
- Advise on the P&C risk and governance framework to mitigate risks within the portfolio.
- Collaborate with finance and operational teams for workforce planning, ensuring compliance with budgetary requirements.
- Connect with different stakeholders to devise solutions that meet the current and future needs of the portfolio.
- Lead and manage the annual reward cycle in accordance with guidelines and budget considerations.
- Engage in the implementation of organisational design and change management initiatives.
- Identify potential automation opportunities that enhance efficiencies in the area of responsibility.
- Monitor and ensure the accuracy of all people-related data within P&C core systems, ensuring timely processing of changes.
- Provide advisory support regarding the most suitable systems for use and navigate P&C systems effectively.
Job Requirements:
- Strong generalist HR background with 5-7 years of HR experience.
- Experience in the financial services sector is required, though specific banking experience is not necessary.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
- Proven experience partnering with senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable working across multiple jurisdictions and adaptable to various operational frameworks.
