Manager, Global Capital Markets

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Manager to join their expanding Global Capital Markets team in Jersey. This position involves managing a diverse portfolio of clients, including both individual clients and large corporate structures. The role includes overseeing the incorporation, transaction setup, and day-to-day administration of Jersey Special Purpose Vehicles from establishment through to dissolution. The successful candidate will manage a team of approximately 3-4 transaction and governance specialists, reporting to the Associate Director level. Job Duties: 

  • Collaborate with the team to manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring fair distribution of work and consistent delivery of high-quality service.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team, sharing knowledge and expertise.
  • Manage compliance objectives, team KPIs, and compliance metrics.
  • Ensure adherence to internal procedures and contribute to the continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and precedents.
  • Support business development through the management of relationships with internal and external partners, and contribute to marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Assist with fee proposals and quotations for new business opportunities.
  • Manage billing processes and debt collection, ensuring accurate time recording, timely invoicing, and alignment with payment terms.
  • Hold regular team meetings, offering support and guidance to junior team members.
  • Stay up to date with changes in legal and regulatory frameworks affecting clients.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and growth within the team.
  • Participate in project and integration work, driving positive change.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Law, or Accounting preferred. Working towards or holding a qualification such as ICSA, STEP, or ACCA is advantageous.
  • Relevant experience (5+ years) in a fiduciary environment, ideally managing a portfolio of corporate or capital markets clients.
  • Proven people management skills, with the ability to lead and develop junior team members.
  • Broad understanding of the range of corporate services offered by the organisation globally.
  • Strong knowledge of local legislation and Corporate Governance frameworks.
  • Problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and use initiative.
  • Confident and professional in client interactions, with excellent communication skills.
