Job Description
Purpose of role is to administer five debt funds and two PE funds with the support of a team of two administrators and be heavily involved in launch of third debt fund. Duties involve managing and developing team; ensure transactions, investor correspondence, document storage and statutory filings undertaken; prepare and/or review investor admissions, calls and distributions and trade settlements; payment review, approval and preparation in respect of distributions / asset settlement; co-ordinate investment process from receiving a recommendation from the investment adviser to settling the trade and closing the investment via the debt portfolio management system; co-ordinate powers of attorney and proxy voting for corporate actions; review and maintain statutory records and investor details; present investment recommendations and field Director questions; set up/take on and winding up processes of fund entities and/or structures; develop and maintain systems and policies; take part in client review and compliance monitoring programmes; undertake AML/CDD training.
Previous experience, at a level of assistant manager or above, of fund administration and previous line management experience are required; must hold ICSA/STEP; relevant academic records including GCSE (with English and Maths at Grades A* – B) and A Levels or degree; sound understanding of investments, funds, treasury functions and associated terminology; familiarity with limited partnership structures; Company Secretarial background beneficial; knowledge of Investran / Viewpoint / Allvue advantageous; problem solving / management skills; IT literate and experience of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint; ability to work to a high degree of accuracy; ability to work autonomously; strong organisational ability; client and results driven; flexible; good team player; motivated and organised; strong communicator at all levels; ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
