Job Description
Our client is seeking an A-Level/graduate level candidate with a few years of work experience in administration, commerce, or a field with strong organisational /communication skills, to come in at a more junior level so prior secretarial/PA experience is not required as training will be given. The candidate must be proactive and committed to training and becoming a legal secretary/PA, to work in a team supporting designated fee earners, and be MS Office proficient; good typing speeds and accuracy are essential, as is the ability to prioritise effectively and work efficiently under pressure, and be a team player with a collaborative and flexible approach.
The role will involve secretary duties as well as checking and processing business related expense claim forms, file management and archiving, ensuring all matter opening data is captured; assisting with conflict checks; booking meeting rooms, equipment and catering; checking and proof-reading documents and amending; assisting in creation of new clients/matters on Document Management system; adding partner and fee earner contacts and ensuring data is up to date; adding partner and fee earner marketing & business development activities to contacts list; adding contacts to LinkedIn; reviewing and updating partner and fee earner biographies.
