AP Executive is partnering with a high-growth data and technology business to appoint a Senior Engineer as part of its next phase of scale. Please note this role is on-site 5 days per week in central Geneva.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a business at a pivotal stage of growth. Having built its platform with a combination of specialist vendors and external contractors, the company is now growing its internal engineering capability and looking for talented engineers to help shape what comes next.
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Engineer who is equally comfortable writing clean, production-ready code and contributing to technical discussions around architecture and delivery. This role will suit someone who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and wants to make a tangible impact on a real-time data platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to the delivery of the technical roadmap alongside senior engineering leadership
- Developing and maintaining scalable, reliable software and infrastructure components
- Supporting the adoption of engineering best practices, documentation, and governance standards
- Collaborating with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery
- Working closely with product and data teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Playing an active role in the architecture and evolution of a growing real-time data platform
The successful candidate will likely possess:
- 7+ years of experience in a software or data engineering role within fintech, media, data, or high-growth technology businesses
- A track record of delivering features and products in lean, fast-moving environments
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally GCP
- Solid understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and modern software development methodologies
- Experience working within data-intensive, analytics-driven, or real-time systems environments
Additional experience considered advantageous:
- Exposure to crypto, financial data, or market data products
- Experience working at a startup or scale-up environment
- French language skills
- The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues
