A global leading provider of funds administration and services are seeking a junior legal counsellor to join its team in Jersey. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, your key responsibilities will cover legal issues regarding alternative investment funds, financial services regulation and commercial contracts.
You will prepare and negotiate the company's terms of business with external parties. Providing legal input into all aspects of affairs throughout the organisation with regards to financial services regulations. Oversee the work of a Junior Legal Counsel. Collaborate with colleagues to provide legal support on more complex affairs such as compliance and risk. Represent the Group in commercial contract negotiations with third parties.
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Law and be preferably admitted as a Solicitor with 5 plus PQE. Suitable legal experience in financial services sector. Legal experience in a top-tier law firm with international clients is desirable. Negotiation and drafting skills with the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. Ability to articulate clear business advice with a commercial focus.
