Interim Network and Telecoms Manager

3-6 month role to oversee infrastructure in Jersey, the Isle of Man and Mauritius and provide hands-on support for networks and telecoms equipment and managing service; liaise with managed service provider and local telecommunications for billing and service provision purposes; analyse invoices and monitor against budget; provide first- and second-line diagnosis of problems; assist managed service provider in equipment installation and/or changes/updates; collaborate within IT team to provide network- and telecoms-related assistance in projects and Agile Epics/Features; monitor performance of network and telecoms services; deal proactively with anomalies or impending issues.
Candidate will have intermediate-level understanding of LAN switching, network routing, the Internet protocol, Virtual Private Networks and associated technologies; intermediate-level knowledge of telecoms principles (including SIP and ISDN services), with knowledge of Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM) and Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX) a bonus but not essential; experience of managing relationships with managed service providers and telcos.
