Job Description

Our client is a highly regarded commercial enterprise with a recognizable profile in Guernsey through its large scale projects in the private and public sector. They are also well known for their support with many sporting organisations in the community. On their behalf we are looking to find a Health and Safety Manager to replace the present incumbent who is retiring.

Applicants should have at least 5 years experience in H & S management and more specifically in the construction industry. A professional qualification such as NEBSOH will be preferable. A demonstrable knowledge of local legislation and ACOPS will be required.

The role-holder should be a team leader with excellent communication and management skills. You will be the first point of contact for all health and safety matters to internal and external stakeholders.

The role will require the manger to be the instigator and monitor of evolving industry directives and be able to organise in-company training to mentor and train all members of the company.
