Financial Reporting Manager 1 - Technical

The purpose of this position is to support client facing teams with accounting queries/updates and be subject matter expert on laws and regulations, and support Regulatory Reporting Team with delivering regulatory reporting services to clients.  Postholder will review financial statements as a part of cold review process; be vigilant on accounting updates (standards, guidelines), analyse impact on current client structures and communicate with accounting teams; interact with client facing and other support teams to help deliver client demands/client relationship; assist client facing accounting teams to prepare/produce key accounting technical papers/review of those papers; deliver technical accounting training sessions to client facing teams at all levels (Accountants); perform reviews of Carried Interest, Management fees; participate in automation/process standardisation projects; perform periodic FATCA/CRS, AIFMD, Economic Substance and other regulatory reporting for clients.
Candidate will have PQE and professional qualification (ACCA or ACA); sound technical financial services knowledge; Computer literacy, word processing and spreadsheet skills are essential; quick to learn new systems; excellent interpersonal skills are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues, clients and business contacts; people management experience.  Training provided.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
