Finance Manager

12 month fixed term contract to be filled AS SOON AS POSSIBLE overseeing production of management accounts, group reporting packs and regulatory reports; discussing and updating draft commentaries to accounts; preparing statutory financial statements and tax computations/returns on a company and consolidated level to enable submission to relevant advisors and authorities in line with stipulated deadlines; implementing procedures to deal with US GAAP requirements such as impairment reviews and implementing established procedures; preparing financial plans/budgets and draft plans for senior management review; producing/reviewing financial and regulatory analysis; reviewing reconciliations of Nostro and impersonal accounts to ensure outstanding items cleared on a timely basis; assisting in development and implementation of robust internal control framework to ensure compliance with assessment of internal controls.
Candidate will be ACCA or CIMA qualified with at least 5 years PQE, ideally in financial services; advanced Excel skills to enable the construction and manipulation of complex spreadsheets; experience of reporting under UK GAAP, US GAAP and IFRA; experience of computer-based accounting and banking system such as BM+, T24 and 4series; detailed knowledge of GFSC regulatory reporting requirements and Basel III is required; knowledge of SOX would be an advantage.
Role in either Guernsey or Jersey.
