Job Description

6 month fixed term contract in internal finance team providing administration support to payments and accounts team.  Duties involve payment of suppliers; coding payments with correct general ledger codes to ensure proper entry into financial system.; file and maintain supplier payments / invoices.; maintain integrity of cashbooks and accurately record bank payments and receipts; monitoring bank accounts for specific payments and communicating with fee earners; meeting deadlines for priority payment releases and cheque production; complete bank reconciliations and respond promptly to queries; process cheque requests in line with service level agreements; deal with queries from clients and team; accurately record financial transactions and ensure completeness; fully reconcile all items on a daily basis efficiently.
Candidate will have minimum intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; strong general computer literacy in financial packages; ability to multi-task and prioritise work load; good interpersonal skills and adaptable to a changing environment; ability to work effectively in a team and use own initiative; effective communicator; ability to problem solve and select the most appropriate course of action; experience in a similar role.
