Job Description

Our client is currently looking for a Compliance Director to join their Advisory EMEA team based in their Jersey office. This key leadership position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of regulatory compliance for the business in the EMEA region with the aim of ensuring regulatory obligations are met and conforms to industry best practices and professional standards.

You will provide oversight and direction to the Compliance Advisory team members in Jersey, Guernsey, UK, Ireland, Luxembourg, but with a particular focus on leading the Compliance support arrangements businesses in Jersey including an expectation that they will hold and/or directly oversee Key Person roles for a number of Group entities. Be expected to bring your expertise and be the SME to drive change and the continuous improvement of a robust risk and compliance model that supports the business achieving its strategic objectives.

You will have at least 10 years' industry experience in similar roles with an exemplary record of performance. Hold a recognised and relevant professional qualification. Have a thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks applicable to TCB and FSB business in Jersey with knowledge of regulatory requirements for other EMEA jurisdictions and ability to apply this knowledge in practice is desirable.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and inform and to challenge constructively when required. A self-starter with the ability to make decisions and use own initiative within the scope of regulatory requirements, policy and procedures. Proven ability to create operational capacity within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Strong business acumen with a pragmatic approach to problem solving. Exceptional integrity and work ethic. Resilient yet flexible and approachable to encompass multiple competing demands.
