Director, Client Accounting

Job Description

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Director, Client Accounting Project Manager to support the Head of PCS Accounting in delivering high-quality accounting services across their Private Client Services Division. This role encompasses operational support, process improvement, strategic projects, and M&A-related accounting integrations. You will also work closely with one of their largest clients and service teams to ensure exceptional accounting service delivery. Job Duties: 

  • Provide senior-level leadership to ensure effective delivery of client accounting services within agreed timelines and high standards.
  • Lead service delivery for major client accounting engagements, collaborating with cross-jurisdictional teams to optimise outcomes.
  • Review and improve accounting operations for efficiency and effectiveness, designing and implementing solutions with stakeholder collaboration.
  • Oversee ad-hoc accounting projects, including project management and delivery.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance knowledge sharing and minimise duplication.
  • Lead the accounting integration of newly acquired businesses, ensuring consistent practices across jurisdictions.
  • Coach and develop junior team members in line with the Performance Management Framework.
  • Monitor and achieve performance targets, timelines, and budgets for operational projects.
  • Deputise for the Head of Client Accounting as required.
  • Adhere to risk and compliance procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and AML legislation.
  • Uphold organisational policies, standards, and legislative regulations.
  • Maintain professional development through CPD requirements in accordance with qualifications and procedures.


Job Requirements: 

  • Qualified Accountant with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Proven operational experience within a multi-jurisdictional financial services organisation.
  • Hands-on project management experience delivering projects across global networks in a commercial environment.
  • Ability to manage complexity involving multiple stakeholders, timelines, and projects.
  • Self-motivated and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and team management skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with risk management in an operational context.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications; familiarity with Alteryx and PowerBI is advantageous but not essential.
