Corporate Services Senior Accounts Officer

Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Services Senior Accounts Officer to produce financial statements and management reports for a portfolio of clients within the Institutional Client Services division. This role requires expertise in UK GAAP and IFRS, alongside a proactive approach to managing client queries, audit processes, and team resources. Job Duties: 

  • Prepare bookkeeping records, management reports, and annual financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS for complex clients.
  • Review externally prepared financial statements.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely manner.
  • Produce ad hoc reports, including cash flow forecasts and budgets.
  • Prepare bank covenant reports and manage the audit process to meet deadlines and cost agreements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with auditors, ensuring smooth coordination and planning.
  • Complete all reconciliations and ensure adherence to internal deadlines.
  • Monitor the recoverability of time spent on tasks to minimise write-offs and achieve divisional KPIs.
  • Respond to client queries promptly, providing solutions and support to administration teams on accounting matters.
  • Liaise with clients to discuss financial statements, resolve issues, and address fees.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members and clients.
  • Monitor WIP against budgets and report variances to the Line Manager.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements, compliance procedures, and AML legislation.
  • Contribute to risk management and uphold organisational values.


Job Requirements: 

  • ACA or ACCA professional qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Proven experience in preparing financial statements.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
