Corporate Accountant

This role is undertaking financial reporting requirements for a range of corporate clients of various asset classes, maintaining excellent service standards and coaching monitoring trainees and bookkeepers.  Postholder will prepare financial statements to accounting principles or IFRS standards; prepare NAVs and management accounts; compile file of working papers for all financial reports; liaise with clients and auditors; ensure financial statements completed and signed off within client, statutory or regulatory deadlines; attend client meetings in respect of accounting matters; review annual and periodic accounts prepared by team; monitor profitability and recoverability of engagements and ensure agreed fee levels adhered to; identify and report potential overruns; assist with creation and maintenance of client specific accounting procedures; participate in preparation of proposals for accounting and financial reporting services; contribute to projects.
Candidate will have ACCA/ACA; experience of producing financial statements, interim and management accounts, consolidated financial statements, consolidation schedules and financial analysis and NAV calculations; flexibility; team player; client service oriented; proactive; disciplined; understanding of regulatory requirements, IFRS and UK accounting principles; MS Office knowledge; desirably knowledge of Nav One/Caseware; good communicator; able to work to deadlines.
Based in Jersey or Southampton.
