Job Description

An independent trust and accountancy company based in Jersey, are seeking the addition of a Compliance Manager to join their expanding team.

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will be providing support to the Compliance Officer, MLRO and MLCO. You will deputise for the Compliance Officer in their absence and act as a designated Deputy MLRO (not key person). You will maintain and execute the Compliance Monitoring Plan and oversee the maintenance of compliance control registers and prepare internal reports. Represent the team in the wider business, at board and committee meetings as required. Ensure pragmatic and appropriate compliance advice is provided in a timely fashion.

A minimum of five years' previous experience in a compliance role within a Trust Company Business or Regulatory role, knowledge of Trust and Company structures as well as thorough knowledge of the Codes of Practice and AML/CFT/CPF laws and regulations applicable to Trust Company Business. You will be able to evidence past experience of delivering Compliance Monitoring Plans. It is also considered essential that applicants hold the industry recognised ICA Diploma in Compliance, or be currently studying towards it. You will have good interpersonal skills and be an effective communicator, both verbally and written. Strong understanding of risk management principles. You will be credible and inspire confidence within the team, stakeholders and board. Pragmatic and hold commercial problem-solving skills.
