The Compliance Officer is part of the first line of defence in cooperation with the client facing teams. The Compliance Officer ensures that there are appropriate policies and procedures in place to manage regulatory and compliance risk, as well as regular monitoring and testing of those policies and procedures.


Part of this role includes ensuring that all clients serviced by the business teams in the Jersey office have fulfilled the Customer Due Diligence ( CDD ) requirements, in accordance with anti-money laundering and antiterrorist financing (AML/CFT) legislation, as well as Jersey regulatory legislation and guidelines as issued by the JFSC.


The Compliance Officer will play a key role in business acceptance, overall CDD monitoring and assisting the business teams on meeting their compliance obligations, both internally as well as externally. The function is responsible for performing Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSAs) and facilitating the management of risk incidents and action items via the Risk Management Portal ( RMP ).
