We are currently looking for a Compliance Assistant/Deputy MLRO & MLCO to join our clients team, to be based in their St Helier office.
You will amongst other things be acting as the primary point of contact with the business for responding to compliance queries & support the department with general compliance tasks. Write & review procedures, making enhancements to improve efficiency. Undertake testing & reporting as required by the business CMP. As Deputy MLRO, receive & acknowledge internal SARs asap & taking the appropriate action. Record external SARs in a register & inform the JFSC as required. Ensure that all matters are completed with the JFSC. As Deputy MLCO, act as principle point of contact for employees & the Commission on day to day regulatory matters. Keep abreast of the Commission's website & notifications, raising awareness when required. Sign off for compliance on any new business as required.
You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working within the Jersey trust industry, with a minimum of 3 - 5 years at Compliance Assistant level. You will be fully qualified to meet Category C requirements in accordance with the JFSC Codes of Practice for TCB. You will have a good experience of trust, company, foundation & LP law including relevant UK tax issues, financial markets & the world economy.
