Commissioners

Job Description

Our client are seeking two on-island Commissioners to join the Board with a combination of the following: 
- Experience of working of working in Jersey’s financial services industry ideally within Funds and Banking,although other financial services specialisms are also welcome. 
- Accountancy or financial management background to be able to actively participate in theAudit and Operational Risk Committee. 
- Legal experience as a practitioner and/or an extensive understanding of Jersey’s legislativelandscape. 
 
Ideal candidates should demonstrate most or all of the following: 
- A track record gained in the financial services industry. 
- A robust understanding and approach to corporate governance.
- Leadership skills, sound judgement and diplomacy in previous roles. 
- Knowledge of international finance industry markets, policies or regulatory environments, with an appreciation of the sector’s evolving risks and pressures.
- Familiarity with international regulatory standards and how they relate to Jersey’s financial ecosystem. 
- An appreciation of the need for innovation, flexibility and enterprise in the finance industry in Jersey.
- Awareness of developments in financial services and regulatory technology. 
- Alignment with the seven principles of public life (Nolan Principles): selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty, and leadership.
- Strong interpersonal skills, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
