A leading global advisory, broking and solutions company are seeking to appoint a Client Support Officer/Trainee Account Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to growth in an international risk and insurance environment.
Under the direction and control of the Account Director you will contribute to management of a portfolio of (re)insurance companies, be responsible for ensuring that client companies under management comply with GFSC regulations and filing requirements, maintain on-going relationships with assigned clients and gaining an understanding of the clients' business and be responsible for production of accurate and timely financial and management information for clients to facilitate effective decision making.
You will also be responsible for the preparation and timely filing of all regulatory and statistical reporting requirements, prepare client companies' year-end financial statements and liaise with external auditors, monitor and ensure that each company complies with Guernsey Company Law, liaise with tax advisors to ensure clients are in compliance with all relevant tax heads, as well as cooperating and liaising with the Head of Functions: Risk, Compliance, Actuarial and Internal Audit.
It would be advantageous if you hold a professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA; CAT/AAT etc.), but not essential, however it is mandatory that you have experience as working as a financial accountant with good knowledge of international accounting standards. It would also be advantageous to have experience of Guernsey Regulatory environment, (re)insurance accounting preparation and knowledge of captive insurance industry.
You will need to have excellent oral/written communication skills, have a professional outlook, be a team player with a positive attitude, be confident and organised, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
