Job Description
This role will manage a small team of senior accountants and a bookkeeper managing a bank of clients, reviewing Financial Statements and line management duties and developing junior team members; implementing and monitoring quality control systems in relation to outsourced accounting provider; meeting regularly with in-house teams to ensure KPIs met; continual focus on development of internal accounting software system and working closely with software consultants; attending client meetings to provide technical accounting support; key involvement in projects and team decisions at senior level; assist with creation and maintenance of client specific accounting procedures and templates; sharing technical knowledge with fee earners and team members; liaising with tax advisors and ensuring compliance with UK tax including VAT, NRL and Corporation Tax; liaising with external auditors; completing reporting requirements for CRS/FATCA; assisting with recruitment, training and development of Accountants and Bookkeepers.
Candidate will hold ACCA/ACA/CIMA/ICAS/equivalent and PQE; excellent knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, financial reporting requirements and audit approaches; experience preparing financial statements in accordance with FRS 102 and IFRS; ability to prepare client management information to client requirements; detailed knowledge of local finance industry, legislation and regulatory requirements; knowledge of financial reporting requirements for corporate, real estate and private wealth clients; familiarity with UK tax reporting environment; people management, diagnostic, problem solving, decision making, technical and leadership skills; knowledge of Caseware a plus; structured approach to planning; able to prioritise workload; strong client service mentality; able to keep calm under pressure.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
