Job Description

We're looking for a Client Accountant to join our growing Global Accounting team within Governance Services. In this role, you'll work closely with the team on the provision of accounting services to a range of client entities.

About the role

  • Assist in preparing and reviewing client financial statements under UK GAAP, IFRS, and FRS 102.
  • Assist in completing the audit process for clients.
  • Help generate periodic reports, capital account statements, and net asset valuations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in client entity databases (including Viewpoint, QuickBooks, and Yardi).
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to manage expectations and deadlines.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of transactions and regularly liaise with your line manager.
  • Ensure consistency in accounting service levels.
  • Build and develop relationships with clients, auditors, and third-party service providers.

About you – essential requirements

  • Relevant academic, preferably be part qualified ACCA/ACA, currently studying or qualified by relevant experience with good up to date technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, including practical application.
  • Demonstrable practical and technical knowledge of accounting systems, particularly Viewpoint and Quickbooks would be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in the use of MS Excel, is also expected.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle pressure and deliver accurate results promptly.
  • Have a professional, pro-active and service orientated approach.
  • Discretion and demonstrates good judgement.
