Chef at The Shelter Trust

The Shelter Trust, a Jersey charity supporting our Island's homeless community is seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to produce meals for our service users.

You will be responsible for planning and preparing balanced meals, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring food safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare daily meals for service users (lunch and dinner).
Plan menus that are nutritious, cost-effective, and cater to dietary needs.
Effectively manage food donations.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
Manage food inventory and coordinate with suppliers.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a chef.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a team.
Committed to undertaking on-going training.
