Job Description
• Producing meat for sale including bone out carcasses with good cutting standards
• Ensuring that all food safety and health and safety regulations are met within the butchery department
• Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
• Weighing, packaging,
• Controlling waste
•Date and temperature checking
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Product knowledge is essential
• Be helpful and friendly and feel comfortable working within a team
• To be enthusiastic, committed and self-motivated
• Adopts a ‘can do’ attitude to challenging situations
• Have a flexible approach to working hours
• To be able to work as part of a team but also to use their own initiative
• Basic food hygiene certificate will be provided
• Thorough knowledge of HACCPS
•Ideally have experience in a butchery environment or food service area
