Job Description

Great role planning, co-ordinating, controlling and reviewing portfolio, ensuring effective client service and coaching and developing team; responsible for team performance management, providing constructive feedback, seeking feedback and identifying training needs; delivers training on identified topics; overseeing WIP and monitoring time charges to clients, reviewing and controlling non-productive time of the team and ensuring targets met; reviews progress on assignments against budget, investigates variances and cost over-runs and initiates action to resolve problems; managing client relationships; supports Audit service line for audit manuals; short-listing potential new team members and participating in recruitment process; supports setting budgets and fee levels; participating in marketing activities, proposal writing and presentation in order to retain business and win new contracts; supports quality control monitoring, measuring engagement quality and putting in place remediation plans where shortfalls against agreed standards are identified;complying with cross-border audit firm registration requirements.
Candidate will hold accounting professional qualification and at least 5-7 years audit work experience; thorough knowledge of financial services client audits; good understanding of audit techniques, regulations and issues; proven client handling experience; highly PC literate; excellent knowledge of Windows software and accounting systems; excellent communication, analytical, problem solving, planning and organising skills; good team player and leader; initiative and lateral thinking; able to recruit, develop and motivate; client service oriented.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
