Job Description

Great role undertaking small non-complex audits involving pre-audit scoping and preparation, identifying audit risks and performing preliminary evaluation of client’s internal control structure to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement; assisting with audit tests using audit methodology ensuring key matters not identified at planning stage are highlighted; assisting with assessment; assisting with preparing simpler financial statements; reviewing client-prepared financial statement and other management reports; monitoring own work in progress and contributing to billing; building strong client relationships to ensure retention and growth.
Candidate must be able to develop understanding of audit for financial service clients and audit techniques including planning, interviewing, documentation, testing, conclusions and reporting; pro-active in developing technical knowledge and understanding accounting and audit regulations; good team player; able to work alone; self starter with flexible and proactive approach; able to work under pressure and to deadlines; good communication, analytical, problem solving and organisational skills; highly PC literate with good knowledge of Windows software and accounting systems; School leaver: 112 UCAS points or equivalent / Graduate: Degree (2:1 or above) or equivalent; no relevant experience necessary; willing to undertake accounting professional qualification.
