Associate/Senior Associate
Job Description
This exciting role entails extensive direct client contact and supporting partners, overseeing provision of specialist trust, foundation and related corporate law advice to individuals and institutional clients, estate planning and wills advice, regulatory advice and advice in respect of employee incentive structures; supervision of junior team member; identifying and implementing new business initiatives; performing legal research and analysis; checking legal forms/documents; drafting legal documents; achieving target hours, managing billings and debtors; contributing to business development plans; support new ventures, identify cross selling opportunities and seek ways to develop services; present and prepare presentations; oversee non-chargeable activities to build know-how and external reputation through seminars/writing of articles/presentations; working with colleagues from other teams and offices on multi-disciplinary and international projects.
Requirements are 4 to 6 yrs+ PQE with a UK/Jersey/Commonwealth legal qualification; experience of private client, related corporate, regulatory and/or employee incentive structures; experience in offshore jurisdiction beneficial but not essential; knowledge of Jersey offshore law; strong technical ability; business development experience and/or motivation to assist with business development; ability to prioritise and manage time effectively; client centric approach; strong self-motivation; solution driven attitude; team player; sound communication and strong commercial awareness.
