Job Description

Exciting role overseeing set-up/on-boarding and accounting of private equity funds, ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, fund documentation and accounting standards.  Postholder will ensure accounting services aligned with client SLAs, KPIs, deadlines and operational policies; manage team of fund accountants; assist with BAU activities; prepare and agree accounting reporting templates with client; assist with review of documentation pertaining to launch of new funds; control delivery of valuations, capital accounts, quarterly and annual financial statements; oversee reconciliation process for cash, stock, shares/units; liaise with auditors, tax advisors, transfer agents; oversee preparation of performance fee, Internal Rate of Return and equalisation calculations; involved in collection/payment of income/fees/expenses; completion of regulatory and tax information provision; manage year end/interim audit process; key person for client contact; resolve client queries; oversee accrual of admin fees in funds’ accounting records; review and approve existing business processes; assist with training and management; assist with development of in-house fund accounting and private equity system; execute projects relating to implementation of new product accounting and operational procedures; control delivery of investor reporting; manage investor queries and investor queries log.
Candidate will have experience in finance industry and specifically experience in private equity fund accounting preparation; experience in people management; recognised accountancy qualification such as ACCA/ACA; excellent working knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and US GAAP; excellent delegation, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and time management skills; ability to prioritise a high volume of time sensitive tasks quickly; accuracy and attention to detail; excellent awareness of commercial and risk management based client solutions; excellent working knowledge of fund structures and fund cash flows; excellent working understanding of various types of PE transactions; able to manage workloads and meet deadlines; motivated; team player; able to lead others.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
