Job Description

Exciting Key Person role managing regulatory and compliance matters including monitoring policy adherence, assessing and recommending amendments to internal systems, instigating action to remedy deficiencies; maintaining strong relationships; helping with compliance program; overseeing BAU and specific projects; managing JFSC regulatory relationship; production, development and presentation of compliance reporting; maintenance of records and regulatory registers; preparation of regulatory submissions; horizon scanning and management of regulatory projects and examinations; identify training needs in compliance and initiate training in conjunction with Learning & Development; support regulatory/audit visits and/or reviews; support Risk communications strategy and provide updates; act as subject matter expert on regulatory compliance, tools and initiatives; advise on business, products lines and transactions; assess impact of new/revised laws, including assessment of financial implications.
Requirements are a Table 4 qualification and preferably a Compliance qualification; 7-10 years’ relevant finance industry experience; at least 7 years’ experience in Risk, ideally Compliance or related function, desirably acting as Key Person; comprehensive knowledge of Jersey Legislation and Regulations; understanding of Jersey finance industry and Risk Management in respect of Compliance; proficient user of MS Office; skilled in persuading, influencing, stakeholder management, communication and training; ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate to commercial application, assimilate complex information and support  strategy and develop policy; team player; adaptable; motivated; proactive; results driven; strong commitment to Compliance service excellence.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
