Job Description

An award-winning global fund administration and corporate services firm is looking for an experienced Associate Director to join its Compliance Financial Crime team to act as the designated MLRO for the regulated businesses in Jersey and play a key role in the promotion of the jurisdictional financial crime programme.
The main responsibilities include maintenance of the financial crime compliance framework and all aspects of the MLRO framework. Reporting all financial crime related findings to the relevant internal and company governance structures and follow up on mitigation. Management of high profile and/or sensitive investigations as and when required. Monitor regulatory changes and international best practice in relation to financial crime ensuring that changes are incorporated into the framework. Maintain a positive working relationship with all external agencies including the Joint Financial Crime Unit. Provide specialist advice and training on financial crime risk to the Jersey business. Lead and support the enhancement of money laundering surveillance solutions and sanctions screening solutions to address and manage AML and CFT risks. Act as MLRO for the Group TCB and FSB entities and for any Managed Trust Company Businesses in Jersey with direct access to the Group board of Jersey licensed entities.
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant compliance qualification and have previously held a key person role, or be a Deputy MLRO ready to take the next step. Extensive experience working in compliance within financial services, ideally in fund administration or trusts. Exceptional attention to detail. Additionally, they will have excellent communication and organisation skills and the ability to work as part of a team, problem solve, prioritise, effective time management, be adaptable.
