Associate - Banking & Finance

The successful candidate will be expected to provide technically sound legal advice directly to clients with appropriate supervision from more senior fee earners and to take ownership of simple transactions from end to end.  The candidate will also be responsible for managing their own financial responsibilities including time recording, billing, WIP and debt, ensuring clients are fully informed as to the fees and disbursements that will be incurred on each matter and provide updates as required, engaging appropriate cash collection procedures to ensure fees are collected in a timely manner. At Associate level, the successful candidate will also begin to provide input to partners and develop negotiating skills in the preparation of new matter fee estimates and quotes. Staying up to date with new legislation and topics of interest in the relevant markets and how these changes affect clients and matters is also key.
