Job Description

This exciting role manages a portfolio of private wealth relationships and manages a team, limiting exposure to risk and providing quality service to clients.  Postholder will liaise with other departments on accounting, taxation and operational issues; anticipate technical problems when dealing with client issues; assist with review of company and trust accounts and financial reports; attend meetings with clients and develop existing client base by understanding client needs and seeking out new business opportunities; identify areas of cross selling; report complaints, operational risks and suspicions; be proactive in identifying and proposing improvements; assess and manage risk situations to avert potential risk issues; ensure client complaints dealt with; assist in managing KPIs for junior staff; balance client needs with commercial expectations in developing strategies for clients and in management; assist with training and development; participate in staff appraisals.
Requirements are comprehensive knowledge of and a proven track record in offshore fiduciary services and handling complex related issues; proven track record in client relationship management; strong interpersonal, time management and organisational skills; good understanding of financial markets, financial and economic developments globally, and finances in general; ability to assist with the training and development of staff; knowledge of compliance issues; able to meet deadlines; have broad understanding of tax issues and jurisdictions; understand legal and regulatory legislation in Jersey and any other legislation that impacts on the conduct of fiduciary business within the jurisdiction; 
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
