Our client is seeking Accountants to join the Business Services Outsourcing team to deliver a high-quality accounting service to clients, reporting to Head of BSO and providing accounting and financial reporting services for established and new real estate and private equity funds. Duties involve preparation of statutory financial statements and auditor liaison, NAVs and understanding of agreements associated with private equity and real estate structures; management accounts, bank debt covenant reporting, quarterly and annual consolidation and interim and annual financial statement preparation under IFRS and UK GAAP for a broad range of international and local clients; ongoing liaison and reporting to shareholders and investment managers; engagement with administrators/directors to deal with dividends, interest payments, acquisitions, refinancing arrangements, corporate restructuring, statutory assistance; rigorous monitoring of fees, WIP and recovery; liaison with auditors for annual financial statement audits and ensuring the audit process is smooth and well administered; developing specialist knowledge of a sector and/or technical area.
No prior Fund Accountant experience is required as training will be provided by the client. Must have at least 2 years PQE and experience of accounts preparation; good communicator; accurate with initiative; ACA/ACCA/equivalent qualified; ideally educated up to degree level/equivalent experience; attention to detail; self motivated; analytical; able to prioritise and manage time; good team player; Excel proficient; customer service focused; knowledge of locally used software; comprehensive understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS and other relevant accounting standards; up dated with latest changing financial reporting requirements and ability to articulate changes to customers; understand customer requirements and business challenges; demonstrable knowledge of current economic and market trends.
Positions are available for 6-9 months secondment/fixed term contracts or as permanent roles.
